317 VALVE SERIES OF EXPANSION JOINT - ST.ST. BELLOWS, EXPANSION JOINT / FLEXIBLE JOINT & RUBBER EXPANSION JOINT.

Stainless steel expansion joints are suitable for compensating for the displacement of general piping during thermal expansion or contraction. Stainless steel flexible joints isolate vibration and reduce noise.

In systems that transport high temperature materials (such as steam or exhaust gases) or absorb motion and vibration, pipe
expansion joints must be used. Commonly used material joints are metal (most commonly stainless steel), plastic (such as PTFE), fabric (such as fiberglass) or elastomer (such as rubber) bellows.

Expansion joints are typically included in industrial piping systems to accommodate movement due to thermal and mechanical changes in the system. When the process requires a large temperature change, the metal components change size. Expansion joints with metal bellows are designed to accommodate specific movements while minimizing the transfer of forces to sensitive components in the system.

The bellows are made of SUS304 stainless steel and are of the OMEGA type. These OMEGA-like eddies can withstand the internal pressure and high temperatures of the pipe and are flexible enough to withstand axial, lateral and angular deflection. The thin multi-layer bellows not only have high flexibility (low spring stiffness) and optimum absorption capacity.
Expansion joints are widely used in piping and equipment systems to prevent vibration, noise, thermal expansion and contraction, and stress fluctuations. They have the effect of extending the service life of pipes and equipment.
